Today’s post is a little different from my usual content … I do enjoy putting cute outfits together and today I wanted to share with you some of the autumn/winter trends I’ve been seeing that I really want to try.
Autumn is my favourite fashion season, the colours are beautiful and the style sophisticated. This year, since I’m working from home, I won’t be dressing up as other winters. But these trends are so cute that I’ll 100% be overdressed every time I leave the house to get a coffee, post office and everything else.
At first, I wasn’t too sure about this trend. I don’t usually feel my best in dresses and knit dresses can be very fitted. But I ordered a couple of long knit dresses and I’m love! Super soft and comfy look that makes you feel like you are wearing loungewear without looking like you just rolled out of bed.
Yay!! Thank god for chunky boots. I’m a comfort first kinda-of gal and chunky boots are as comfortable as it gets. I’m totally adding a pair of Docs to my collection this autumn. They can elevate any look, making even a jeans and t-shirt outfit look edgy.
I love, love this trend. Cardis as tops are a favourite of mine. This can be a super classy/preppy look or a casual and chic look. It’s a perfect way to bring some colour into your outfits, feel cosy and layer up some cute jewellery.
Belts are back in all shapes and forms. Whether to accent a loose dress, make a jacket have a better fit or just from extra bling. This year I’ve seen a lot of metal and chain belts as well as chunky black belts.
Leather boots, coats, trench jackets, trousers, skirts… everything!
Adding a leather item to your look can instantly elevate it from casual to a sleek and sophisticated look. My favourites are the culotte style trousers in leather. I feel that it’s such a clever way to style a simple blouse or colour block.
What trend will you be trying this year?
